T he flexibility built into this trip is to tailor it to your needs. The wri te-up below is oriented the people who feel they are less at risk: ride th e ferry and get there for early light. On the other hand\, if it is more c onvenient to drive\, don’t take the ferry. If people want to go on another day\, they can.\nDescription The main event is scheduled for March 17 . The Larkspur ferry will allow participants to leave as early as 6:35 and arrive at the Ferry Building by about 7:10. For those who are challenged by seasickness and decide to drive\, there are many parking garages nearby to the Ferry Building. For people who feel that early hours are for the b irds\, please arrive later. Call around and form your own posse.\nUpon ear ly arrival\, it is suggested that everyone meet in front of the main Golde n Gate Transit Building in the rear of the ferry building. From there\, we can break into small groups and go off to explore the area. Later arrival s can check in with Tony (847-778-6989) to find out where the early birds have migrated to.\n It is truly a target rich envir onment:\n– meander the ferry building shooting the wares\n– sit across the street from the building and capture some of the local fauna moving by\n– walk the street and absorb the architectu re\n– try shooting shadows or movement\n– or\, when you are aboar d\, step to the ferry rail\, and shoot the prisons\, the bridges\, boat tr affic and the city city from the water \n Around 11:30\, we will all meet for lunch at Gott’s at the F erry Building. We can eat outdoors there. After lunch\, people can continu e shooting or grab a ferry back home. There are 2 return ferries in the af ternoon.\nTravel light\; bring as little as possible so you last longer an d are not a target for the occasional bad guy.\nAnd please remember\, if t he fog is heavy\, you are a winner. EVERYTHING is different and more drama tic. Just wear an extra layer of clothes.\nPlease let me know if you plan to attend.\nAfter the outing\, please sort through your images that you wi ll post for the Zoom meeting on the 25th\; please have them uploaded by th e 23rd.\nSAMPLE UPLOAD PROCESS\n\nPick out a max of 5 processed images and upload them to the club’s competition site.\nPrepare these images to the specs that you use to upload images for competition\; see detailed instruc tions below.\nAll images must be uploaded by midnight March 23rd.\nThe hos t (Tony) will arrange them in Lightroom to prepare them for a Zoom meeting at the address shown on the Zoom Meeting tab in the SRPS web site.\nBill Stacy will set up the Zoom meeting and act as co-host. The meeting will st art sharp at 5 pm on March 25. There will be 15 minutes of social time.\n The host/Tony will show all the images of one person at a time\, and they will narrate them. After that\, there will be time for comments.
