Luther Burbank Arts & Garden Center

Using a lightbox as a blank palette, Lucy Beck will show how she chooses and arranges flowers to make artistic arrangements. She will then demonstrate how to photograph these arrangements to show an illusion of translucency. Using Photoshop, she will process a group of images to create a final painterly-like picture.
Lucy will bring a variety of printed pictures.

In 2016, Lucy won 2nd place for photography in a statewide competition for 2D art at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara and was on exhibition for 7 weeks.
She is an exhibiting member of the Moraga Art Gallery and was accepted into a juried exhibition at the Mendocino Art Center for Paper Arts in 2017.
Ms. Beck is an active member of the Contra Costa Camera Club, exhibiting at the Master’s Level in Pictorial Prints. In 2018, she won the overall Best Print of the Year, and Best Print of the year in 4 categories.
Lucy has given many presentations to camera clubs and to garden clubs, and enjoys sharing her love for this medium.
