The Sonoma County Fair is August 4 – 14. It is an excellent fair with both a great midway and a rodeo. The midway is done by Butler Amusement. They have a reputation for excellent rides that are fast and a great challenge to photograph. Last year they brought in their newest ride The Hawaiian Express. It has LED lighting, smoke, and circular motions with riders that go forward and then backward. A wild ride. I’ll keep everyone posted if it is returning. The rodeo does charge extra and is an early evening event and a real challenge to photograph as it gets darker. At this time there are no dates and times for the rodeo.
